  1. My wife sent a link to this Bat Box vid. Looks like I have yet another item on my "Honey Do" list. hehe
Looked over some of your other projects. So, now you have a new subscriber.
Thanks for sharing your projects !!!

  2. My bats were able to hang with just the wood. I also used cedar which is a softer wood, those toenails are sharp! They just dug right in. Microbats love bat houses so they can go in during inclement weather. One thing! Never hang your bat box over anything you donโ€™t want destroyed. Bat poop is very acidic and will kill the grass, plants etc. Also, donโ€™t paint, use finisher on the inside of the box. Itโ€™s harmful to them and you probably wonโ€™t have any move in. The day after I hung my 1st bat box up 6 moved in ๐Ÿ˜Š I made it a condo for 8 ๐Ÿ˜

  3. I don't like the idea of attaching this to my house. I'm thinking about attaching to a pole in the back yard near the pool. The pool attracts bugs throughout the winter (you don't completely drain it)

  4. i dont get why the front piece of wood cant be a solid piece instead of all those slats?? it just needs to be a bit shorter than the back piece and have a small crack for air flow but it could be a solid piece of wood!!

  5. What's the name of the finish you used. I looked online and supposedly oil based finishes are poisonous to bats. Are the my local hardware store there a very few to none outdoor grade water based finishes.

  6. Iโ€™ve been a long time subscriber. Spring is slowly getting here in Maine, Iโ€™m thinking of building one of these houses so I had to watch your video again for a lil inspiration. Just curious if any bats have made it their home yet? Keep up the awesome work, your channel has been doing awesome! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘
